Vietnam Today, Yen Bai newspaper offer aid to build road in Tram Tau

YBO - Journalist Truong Nguyen, owner of the Vietnam Today YouTube channel, together with the Yen Bai newspaper has handed over 385 million VND (16,610 USD) to support the construction of a road in De Cho village, Lang Nhi commune, Tram Tau district.

Journalist Truong Nguyen (C), owner of the Vietnam Today YouTube channel, presents the token of the donation for building the concreate road in De Cho.

The presentation took place in late October, with the journalist collecting the donation from subscribers of his channel after a month of fund-raising work. The money is earmarked for building 1.3 km of a concrete road along the 4.3-km path from Lang Nhi to De Cho villages. De Cho is the most difficult area in Lang Nhi commune.

The road is 1.5 m wide and over 10 cm thick. It aims to facilitate travel of locals and boost the development of trade and tourism.

Earlier, Truong Nguyen raised 130 million VND worth of donations from his channel for De Cho to assist the local improvement of electricity and educational facilities.
