Yen Bai youth donate over 11 tonnes of goods to residents in HCM City

YBO - The provincial Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union committee has transported over 11 tonnes of goods to Ho Chi Minh City to aid people and children who face difficulty due the COVID-19 pandemic.

The goods were donated by youth unions and members in the province under a programme named "Million welfare bags" launched on August 25. The programme has received the enthusiastic response of unions and youth union members in the province with many creative and practical ways based on the actual situation of each locality.

About 11 tonnes of goods, including: rice, cooking oil, eggs, dried fish, canned meat, spices, vegetables and some other essential necessities such as medicine and face masks with a total value of over 320 million VND has been classified, packed and transported to the people of HCM City.

The "Million welfare bags" programme is a meaningful activity of Yen Bai youth, which has helped spread the sense of responsibility and love in the community along with the goal of joining hands to fight the pandemic.
