The Asia Injury Prevention Foundation implements 5 traffic safety projects in Yen Bai

YBO - In 2024, the Asia Injury Prevention Foundation (AIP Foundation) collaborated with the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee and sponsors to implement 5 traffic safety projects in Yen Bai Province, with a total mobilized funding of over 4.1 billion VND.

The AIP Foundation and its partners carried out various components, including organizing traffic safety awareness campaigns, providing traffic safety education, distributing helmets to teachers and students, and constructing traffic safety infrastructure at school entrances.

Among these, the project "Safe Journey to School" for the 2023-2024 school year is being implemented at Kim Dong Primary School in Yen Bai City, attracting 1,500 students; the "Building Safe School Zone Model" project was completed at Hoang Quoc Viet High School in Yen Bai City; the "Implementing the Guidebook of Traffic Safety Solutions for School Areas in Vietnam" project was carried out at Van Phu Primary and Secondary School, Yen Bai City, Le Quy Don High School, and the Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center in Tran Yen District; the "Improving Traffic Safety in School Areas" project was conducted at Ly Thuong Kiet High School in Yen Bai City; the "Helmets for Children" project was implemented at Tran Nhat Duat High School and Cam An High School in Yen Binh District; and the "Safe Journey to School" project for the 2024-2025 school year will take place at Hung Khanh Primary School, Viet Thanh Primary and Secondary School, and Minh Quan Primary and Secondary School in Tran Yen District.

These projects being carried out in Yen Bai Province have contributed to raising awareness and improving the compliance with traffic safety laws, reducing traffic accidents, especially for students benefiting from these programs.

On January 16, the Yen Bai Provincial Labor Federation organized the 2025 "Tet Sum Vay" program under the theme “Tet Sum Vay – Spring of Gratitude to the Party,” aiming to encourage, support, and care for union members and workers in Luc Yen District.

In 2024, the total value of activities conducted by the Red Cross Society of Yen Bai Province exceeded 86 billion VND, benefiting 230,105 individuals.

Luc Yen District presents the provincial decision recognizing Dong Quan Commune as meeting NTM standards for 2024.

Luc Yen District has recently have two additional communes, Dong Quan and Khanh Hoa, officially recognized by the Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee as meeting the criteria for new rural standards (Nông Thôn Mới - NTM) in 2024.
